It is with immense sadness that the entire CAMA Industries team mourns the passing of our colleague and friend, Sylvain Boutin, who passed away suddenly on August 8, 2026, at the age of 48.
Sylvain had been part of the CAMA family since 2007. Throughout his 19 years with the company, he left his mark on everyone who had the privilege of working with him. He began his career on construction sites before becoming the shop manager. And, as he loved to say with his legendary smile and sense of humour: "I'm the boss of the shop!"
Behind that joking expression was, above all, someone who was proud of his trade and his team. Sylvain loved sharing his knowledge, supporting the next generation, and taking young workers under his wing to help them learn and grow in the trade. Over the years, many benefited from his advice, experience, and confidence.
Much more than a colleague, Sylvain was someone who was appreciated by everyone. Always ready to lend a hand, make those around him laugh, or tell a good story, he had a way of making our days better. His straightforward nature, good humour, and the many memories we shared with him will remain forever engraved in our hearts and memories.
His passing leaves a tremendous void within CAMA. Our thoughts are with his wife, Nadine Gagnon, his son William, his mother Suzanne Courville, as well as his brother, his family, his loved ones, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Thank you, Sylvain, for these 19 years with us. You will be deeply missed by the entire CAMA family.
Rest in peace, Sylvain.
